SA Forestry magazine is published six times a year, in February, April, June, August, October and December.

Magazine distribution

Over 2 200 copies of the magazine are mailed to subscribers and stakeholders in the South African forestry industry and abroad. They include corporate, private commercial and small growers, co-operatives, foresters, contractors, researchers, academics, consultants, nurseries, sawmillers and processors, services and equipment suppliers, support organisations, DAFF decision-makers, relevant government employees and stakeholders.

Editorial coverage

The magazine provides feature articles, news updates, business opportunities and useful information covering the entire forestry value chain from seedling to sawmill, with the focus on South Africa. Special features include: environment, safety and health, harvesting and silviculture, transport and logistics, sawmilling and other processing.

Supplements to SA Forestry magazine

The SA Forestry magazine team produces a number of posters, supplements and inserts, including:

Posters: inserted free with the magazine.

Annual calendar: inserted free with the December issue of the magazine.

Forestry careers booklet: It is a stand-alone publication that is inserted into the April issue of SA Forestry magazine and distributed to young people attending careers exhibitions and events.
